Beeswax Workshop

I'm so excited. For some time now I've been wanting to try using beeswax in my work, but even after watching a couple of video tutorials online, I shied away from it. (After my experience with wood burning, something about working with hot wax and a quilting iron at the same time scared me) Well, Saturday I had the opportunity to take a class with the very talented Iva Wilcox. I had so much fun working on the above project (sorry for the blurry photo) I can't wait to start using the techniques in my own work.

That is beautiful! I love the look that beeswax gives things. I haven't tired it yet but it's definitely on my list.

Oh Leticia... thank YOU for coming to my workshop! I enjoyed it very much, and look how lovely your collage turned out. The little girl you chose to use is so sweet. I'll look forward to seeing what you do with it in your work. Yes, it was great finally meeting in person. Look forward to it again! Hugs...Iva

Hi Leticia,
I like the collage especially the bird. I love beeswax too, it gives great texture to collages and some mistery.

I have always wanted to try beeswax too.
I am hoping and praying that my studio space gets up and going this year so I can have room to bee's!
